Amusing Beswick Hand Painted Figurine of 'Spaniard Pulling Donkey', Model 1223 England design by Jan Granoska

Up for sale is this Beswick Hand Painted Figurine of 'Spaniard Pulling Donkey', Model 1223. This was made at the Beswick factory in Stoke on Trent, England and designed by Jan Granoska.
The colors are bright and vibrant! The donkey is the star of the show with how his stubborness is portrayed--so many details from his furry wrinkles under his chin showing his strength of pull, to his legs splayed in solid defiance. He is carrying two panniers of fruit. It was produced between 1951 and 1962. It in in very good condition without any chips, cracks, or repairs. It has crazing underneath the bottom of the statue, the back of the yellow shirt and cape of the spaniard and on the nose of the donkey as shown in the pictures. The bottom of the statue has Beswick England 1223 written into the procelain and is stamped Beswick England. Measures 4 1/4" in tall and 6 3/4" in length. A very beautiful and amusing piece.
